Wyoming HB 53 has passed the House and the Senate. Now, awaiting the Governor’s signature.
House Bill 53 would require the Department of Corrections to revise its incentives and sanctions system, provide training to supervision staff and information to stakeholders, collect data on placements, and submit reports annually to the Joint Judiciary Committee. According to the Council of State Governments, “These sanctions are designed to be swift, certain, proportional, and cost-effective.”
