We also have a number of research projects completed on the practitioner side, how best to supervise these individuals and provide them with programming that they need. We’ve conducted research on home visits. This is kind of the bread and butter of a community supervision officer’s role to interact with their client in the community. And we conducted research in how many visits are appropriate based on the individual’s risk and what should be done–what should occur in those visits. We also conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the HOPE Probation Program that really was a judge-led program, looked at short individual graduated sanctions, but also with an emphasis to keep the individual on probation as long as possible.
